Workers in this group operate single-function machines or machinery that is part of a larger production process to process mineral ore and metal products. They are employed in mineral ore and metal processing plants.
Main duties :
- set up, prepare and adjust mineral ore, metal and cement processing machinery to carry out one step in the overall mineral ore or metal processing operation;
- operate single-function machinery to grind, separate, filter, mix, treat, cast, roll, refine, or otherwise process mineral ores.

Program Length : One year
Graduates will be able to perform the tasks and activities relative to operating machines and processing metals and minerals. Those who have successfully completed the program will also have the knowledge and skills to complete their work while respecting the environment as well as respecting health and safety regulations.
Program Lenght: One year
The Production Equipment Operation program is designed to train individuals to apply, in whole or in part, the process for manufacturing a product. These individuals will be able to prepare raw and processed materials and machinery; operate conventional or automated production equipment; ensure quality control of manufactured products; handle raw materials and products; prepare products for shipping; and carry out preventive maintenance on the equipment made available to them.
