In the manufacturing sector, many careers offer an average annual salary of $42,000 to $57,000 and a high placement rate in Québec. These include:

• Aircraft assembler
• Machine fitter
• Machinist and machining and tooling inspector
• Industrial engineering technician
• Mechanical engineering technician
• Chemical technician

With the growing demand for specialized labour in a number of manufacturing sectors, people that have a vocational or technical diploma are virtually GUARANTEED a bright future, a good salary, and job opportunities all over Québec. This year, some 5,000 young people from secondary 3 to 5 and from the Carrefours Jeunesse-Emploi program will visit over 100 manufacturers across Québec.
